FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Key Details The 2008 GreenSummit will be held at the newly completed West Building of the Phoenix Convention Center on September 5-6th. Certain ancillary events may be taking place before or after the main conference and expo.
The inaugural GreenSummit was held at Arizona State University as a student project in April 2007. The event was attended by thousands and covered heavily by all major media outlets in the region. See the Press Coverage page for more details.
This year's GreenSummit is greatly expanded to accommodate the growth of awareness and solutions relating to the concept of sustainability. We have also partnered with key organizations that will clearly articulate the business case for going green, along with highlighting the growing number of green innovations available for all citizens.
Both days of the event will have educational content, exciting activities, networking, and exhibitors that will help businesses, governments, and communities move towards a more sustainable future. The GreenSummit also sends our support to the sustainability focused event that has traditionally taken place in the fall each year, the City of Scottsdale Green Building Expo, which has now moved to spring 2009.

It's designed to close the gap between the latest advances in the green movement and the adoption of these innovations. We utilize the knowledge building opportunities of a traditional trade show, and combine them with the enthusiasm and energy of a consumer expo to engage a broader range of audiences. Important industry association and academic institution partners help support the educational foundation to the event in order to provide clarity for the potentially complex ideas and issues. Stimulating networking events and career fair opportunities provide fuel for the growth of green industry and an information campaign built around Just Do One Thing generates awareness of what can be done to make a difference.
